Minotaur
Epic (10%)Minotaur is the Epic race in MythFall with a 10% roll chance - a tanky melee powerhouse with the game's only documented posture-defense trait.
Minotaur is built for the front line. Towering Frame grants +10% Defense and +5% Health, Brute Force adds +5% to both Weapon and Fighting Strength, and the standout Unyielding trait reduces incoming posture damage by 25% while boosting your stagger damage on strong attacks by 50%.
That posture math plugs directly into MythFall's souls-like combat: enemies (and players) have stagger bars, and filling one opens a punish window. A Minotaur both resists being staggered and breaks enemy posture faster - a double advantage in parry-and-punish fights and PvP.
The cost is spellcasting: Low Aptitude cuts Ether and Magic Strength by 10% each, making Minotaur the wrong pick for casters. Weapon and fighting-style builds lose nothing and gain everywhere it counts.
Minotaurs also get a race-specific customization accessory - Neck Fur - visible in the character creator.

Minotaur is Epic rarity with a 10% roll chance - about one roll in ten.
What is the best MythFall race for melee?
From documented traits, Minotaur: it is the only race with posture-defense and stagger bonuses, on top of flat weapon/fighting strength and defense. Its only downside hits spellcasters, not melee.
What does the Unyielding trait actually do?
Two things: you take 25% less posture damage (you are harder to stagger), and your strong attacks deal 50% more stagger damage (you break enemy posture faster, opening punish windows sooner).
