Attributes & Stats
MythFall's attribute system lets you allocate points across five attributes - Defense, Ether, Magic, Weapon and Fighting Style - which drive eight visible character stats.
Every level grants attribute points to spend in the attributes menu. Each attribute maps to a clear stat family, so builds are readable: put points where your damage discipline lives, or into Defense/Ether for survivability and resource depth.
A separate Custom Allocation slot and a Reset Attributes button exist in the UI, so experimentation is not punished - you can respec rather than reroll a character.
The character panel tracks eight stats: Defense, Health, Health Regen, Ether, Ether Regen, Magic Strength, Weapon Strength and Fighting Strength. Race traits modify these same stats in percentages, which is why race choice and attribute allocation compound.

Observed baseline values (pre-release)
From early-opening UI captures: a fresh level 2 character with no points allocated showed Defense 10, Health 100, Ether 106, Magic Strength 10, Weapon Strength 9 and Fighting Strength 9. A level 4 character with 10 points in Defense and 2 in Weapon showed Defense 20, Health 123, Ether 52, Weapon Strength 15 and Fighting Strength 10.
Regeneration display changed between captured builds (percent-based in one, per-second in another), so exact regen scaling is marked unconfirmed until we re-verify on the release build. Numbers on this page will be re-checked at launch on July 10.
FAQ
Can you reset attributes in MythFall?
Yes - the attributes menu has a Reset Attributes option, so builds can be re-specced without rerolling the character.
Which attribute should I level first?
Match your damage discipline: Weapon for sword builds, Magic for casters, Fighting Style for martial arts - then Defense or Ether depending on whether you die too fast or run dry on abilities. Race traits amplify specific stats, so lean into your race's strengths.
What is Ether in MythFall?
Ether is the resource pool that powers abilities (the mana equivalent). The Ether attribute raises the maximum and its regeneration; several race traits also modify it - Nephilim even restores Ether on critical hits.
