Types & Type Chart
Eleons uses a 17-type elemental system: every Eleon has at least one type, each type interacts differently with the others, and combat rewards exploiting those matchups alongside STAB and weather effects.
The developers have confirmed 17 Eleon types, each with specific interactions against the others - the classic effectiveness triangle expanded to a 17x17 grid. Dual-typed Eleons appear throughout the revealed roster, so defensive typing will stack two sets of matchups.
Combat descriptions reference type effectiveness, same-type attack bonus (STAB) and weather effects as damage factors. The exact multipliers have not been officially published.
The full official type chart is the single biggest missing data point before launch. Fan sites display charts, but one openly labels its grid a neutral placeholder awaiting release data, and another publishes a filled-in grid with no sourcing - we treat all matchup numbers as unconfirmed until the game ships.
The 17 type families
The count of 17 types is confirmed in the game's official feature material. The names, however, are not yet official. Two independent fan databases (eleondb.com and eleonadventures.org) list an identical set - Basic, Pyro, Nature, Hydro, Toxic, Electric, Geo, Wind, Metal, Mystic, Light, Dark, Martial, Ice, Bug, Soul and Psychic - which suggests a shared community source, but the same sites elsewhere label revealed creatures with colloquial names like Grass, Fire, Water, Steel and Poison, plus words such as Ancient, Crystal and Brave that do not appear in the 17-name list at all. Until an official chart drops, treat every type name as provisional.
What the discrepancy does tell us: legendaries and Wardens are consistently tagged with an extra descriptor (Rootitan as Grass/Ancient, Aquietus as Water/Ancient in fan catalogues), hinting at either special boss typings or fan shorthand - unconfirmed either way.
STAB, dual types and weather
STAB (a damage bonus when an Eleon uses a move matching its own type) and weather effects are both referenced in the game's combat feature descriptions. Fan calculators assume the genre-standard 1.5x STAB and multiplicative dual-type stacking (two 2x weaknesses becoming 4x), which is plausible but not officially stated.
Revealed creatures already show dual typings in fan catalogues - Syrinfly (Bug/Flying), Jestigator (Water/Dark), Freever (Ice/Martial), Igniram (Fire/Earth) - so team-building around coverage will matter from day one. This page will be replaced with the verified in-game chart at launch.
FAQ
How many types are in Eleons?
17 - confirmed by the developers' feature descriptions. Every Eleon has at least one type, and dual-typed creatures appear in the revealed roster.
Is there an official Eleons type chart?
Not yet. Fan sites show 17x17 grids, but one labels its data a placeholder and the other's numbers are unsourced. The verified chart will be documented here at launch.
Does Eleons have STAB?
STAB is referenced in the game's combat descriptions alongside type effectiveness and weather effects, but the exact multiplier is unconfirmed - fan tools assume 1.5x.
