The Blademaster
Common (60.0%)The Blademaster is a Common Quincy element (Schrift) in VV: Ultimatum, rolled from the 60.0% bracket, that shapes Reiatsu into invisible ranged blades with Cleaver and a brutal grab, Butcher, in Letzt Stil.
The Blademaster is one of the two Common Quincy elements, but its kit rewards commitment. Cleaver (Ctrl + M1) shapes your Reiatsu into invisible blades that slice opponents at range - a deceptively simple poke that the upgrade tree turns into a chant-driven damage loop. In Letzt Stil, which carries no passive, Butcher (Ctrl + M2) grabs an opponent, drives a barrage of slashes into their gut, and tosses them away.
The signature upgrade sits in the Reiatsu Efficiency line: after landing Cleaver at least twice, you begin a chant that empowers every subsequent Cleaver you land until you connect three in a row, doubling your damage on the third cast. At Level 10, completing the chant also heals you for around 30 health. Status Duration upgrades make Cleaver's blade volley cut for longer and briefly follow targets with its cutting area.
The Damage line leans into bleed: techniques induce blood loss that extends bleed duration, and bleeding the same enemy three times with Blademaster moves procs deep gash - an effect the community has not yet identified, so treat it as subject to change per current documentation. The Heavenly variant (5%) converts ability attacks to lifesteal at a damage cost - 20% less damage for 30% lifesteal on moves - and swaps the black-and-white color scheme for purple, green, and yellow.

FAQ
How does the Cleaver chant work?
With Reiatsu Efficiency Level 7, landing Cleaver at least twice begins a chant. Each Cleaver you land is empowered until you connect three in a row, which doubles your damage on the third cast; Level 10 adds a heal of around 30 health for completing it.
What is deep gash?
Bleeding the same enemy three times with Blademaster moves triggers deep gash at Damage Level 9, but its exact effect is undocumented and subject to change per current documentation.
Is the Heavenly variant worth it?
Heavenly (5%) trades 20% of your move damage for 30% lifesteal on moves, so it favors sustained brawling over burst - plus a purple/green/yellow recolor.
