The Heat is a Rare Quincy element (Schrift) in VV: Ultimatum, rolled from the 9.0% rarity bracket, whose entire kit runs on a Heat Meter that its four 'Finger' techniques generate and spend.

The Heat is a resource-management Schrift. Its passive Temperature/Heat Meter fills as you land skills and M1s, and most of the kit is gated behind it - keeping the meter high also unlocks extra passives through upgrades. Below 50% heat, Ctrl + M1 casts First Finger, an upward flaming swipe that knocks opponents airborne and generates 15% heat on use plus an extra 25% on hit. Above 50% heat the same input becomes Second Finger, an immense heat blast that consumes 50% of your remaining heat and refunds 25% when it lands.

Letzt Stil keeps the meter unchanged and adds the M2 pair. Third Finger (below 50% heat) sears enemies with two powerful slashes, each generating 15% heat plus 25% more on hit for a possible 80% total. Fourth Finger (above 50% heat) gathers reishi into a massive flame ballista, consuming 70% of the meter and returning 40% when it connects.

Upgrades reward staying hot: at 60% heat or higher your arms ignite for bonus ability damage and passive heat generation, ablaze melee attacks gain flame damage worth an extra 7.5%, moves inflict full-body incineration burns, and low-health enemies can be turned to ash outright. The Darkheart variant (5%) trades most of the flame damage for Reiatsu siphoning and recolors the fire black.

Heat Meter and Schrift moveset

The Temperature/Heat Meter is the core passive: landing skills and M1s builds it, most skills require it to activate, and high amounts grant additional passives depending on your upgrades.

First Finger (Ctrl + M1, below 50% heat) imbues your fingers with flame and swipes upward, launching opponents into the air - 15% heat generated on use, plus 25% if you hit. Second Finger (Ctrl + M1, above 50% heat) fires an immense heat blast from your finger, consuming 50% of your remaining heat and granting 25% back on a successful hit.

The Heat Meter passive carries over unchanged. Third Finger (Ctrl + M2, below 50% heat) delivers two searing slashes, each generating 15% heat with an extra 25% per slash on hit, totalling up to 80%. Fourth Finger (Ctrl + M2, above 50% heat) gathers reishi from the environment into a massive ballista of flame that decimates anyone caught in the blast - it costs 70% of the Heat Meter and refunds 40% when it hits.

Milestone upgrades

Damage: Level 4 lights your arms ablaze at high temperature (requires 60% Heat Meter), enhancing ability damage and generating extra heat over time; Level 8 makes melee attacks deal flame damage while ablaze, increasing damage by 7.5%.

Status Duration: Level 3 makes your moves cause full-body incineration at above-average temperature, applying burn damage; Level 8 lets your turbulent heat turn low-health enemies into ash, requiring 60% temperature or higher.

Reiatsu Efficiency: Level 5 makes First and Second Finger compatible with rushdown.
